“I won’t sacrifice my integrity for you or anyone else.” The man said.

“We’re prepared to compensate you for your efforts, Anthony.” The other man said.

“Are you trying to bribe me?” Anthony asked.

The bigger man sat back and pulled a thick envelope out of his suit jacket and laid it on the table. As he stood up, so did Anthony. Anthony grabbed the envelope with his left hand and the bigger man’s suit coat with his right hand, drawing him close.

“Easy there,” The bigger man said, with a nod towards the pistol he had drawn and had pointed at Anthony’s gut.

Anthony looked down and noticed the gun had a silencer. He loosened his grip on the big man’s coat and simply deposited the large envelope in the big man’s outer pocket.

Anthony started to say “Tell your boss…” But was cut off mid-sentence by Helena.

She had watched the whole incident as it unfolded between the two men. Once she saw the gun, she decided to take action.

Pretending to need to get passed them - even though they were only a little in the way - she touched both men on the arm. She took all the Luck from the big man and passed it to Anthony.

“Would you please excuse me, gentlemen?” She asked as she transferred all the Luck. Both men stared at her for a moment. The man with the gun backed up, putting his gun away somewhere as he did. He was still staring as he backed up, and didn’t even notice the waitress carrying a tray full of drinks.

There was a very loud crash, followed by many women screaming when he had backed into her. The tray full of glasses barely missed a table as they crashed into the ground. The waitress grabbed the big man to slow her fall, but realized too late that he was coming down with her. Luckily, she missed the table by inches. The big man wasn’t so lucky, after Helena had taken it all. He fell straight into the table, which broke in half as he landed on it. There was a loud “oomph” as he hit the floor between the two table halves. His gun slid out of his hand and into plain sight.

One woman screamed “GUN!” at the top of her lungs.

Chaos followed.

Most people avoided the private section in the middle of the restaurant, instead preferring to run out the front and through the kitchen in the back. It was a mob trying to get through a small front door as Helena took Anthony’s arm and moved into it. She looked back to see Leah burst into the private section with Stephan trying to keep up with her. It only took her a few seconds to locate Helena fleeing towards the back. Anthony moved in front of Helena as they slowly made their way through the crowd to the kitchen.

Anthony was abruptly pushed back into Helena, and they both stumbled for a minute. Helena felt a stinging pain in her side.
